How we work
Sky first, instrument second
Someone who knows twenty constellations can find objects with any instrument. Someone who knows none struggles even with a computerized mount, because the setup asks for stars they cannot identify.
So we start with eyes and binoculars. It costs nothing, it works from a backyard, and it builds the map that makes everything afterwards straightforward.
When a telescope does arrive, it gets chosen on aperture, mount and how likely you are to carry it outside — never on the magnification printed on the box, and never by someone earning a commission.
